Mike Willie hails from Long Beach, California. He played high school football for Woodrow Wilson Classical High School and totaled nearly 1,600 receiving yards over his 3-year varsity career! He graduated in 2008 and then headed off to community college.

At Cerritos Community College, Mike Willie was one of the best community college wide receivers in all of California. He made 76 catches for 1,106 yards and 4 touchdowns over the course of 22 games. He earned playing time in the Triumphant Sports Junior College All-American Game, too, and made a huge reception that tipped his team into victory.
